Why do ants move?

Any animal needs a suitable living environment, and ants are no exception. Ants have very high requirements for humidity in their nests. They don’t like too wet living environment. The air humidity before rain is high, which will wet the ant nest, so the ants will pour out and move their home to a dry place. In addition, when the number of ants increases, resulting in a food shortage near the ant nest, or a threat to the survival of the ant colony near the ant nest, the ants will also move. However, in order to prevent the possible damage of sun exposure to ant eggs, ant colonies generally choose to move on cloudy days or at night.
